BALCONIES COLLAPSED IN TEYNAMPET - CHENNAI

Chennai, June 30th 2013- In Teynampet two balconies of a building collapsed on Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m at Nallan street. A 25-year-old woman collapsed and killed and two eight-year-old children injured. Immediately residents took them to Government Royapettah Hospital. Later the Children were taken into Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital.

The departed Bhuvanashri came to her parents' house on Nallan street which is nearby Anna Arivalayam. They live on first floor of the building and second floor leave it for rent. In second floor , the balcony collapsed and fell down on first floor were Bhuvanashri was standing on balcony were deafening down.

Two children Aadhavan and Rutesh who were playing on the street
got injured by building collapsed. Immediately residents called 108 ambulance service, but they reached half-an-hour later, said D.Yuvaraj.

A few years ago, 64 allotments of land belongs to the TamilNadu Slum Clearance Board made. The residents built the house by their own, said D. Sivaraj Councillor of Ward 118. There were investigation going on to other building in that area.
